NAMI South Central Los Angeles affiliate was established in 1999. Our organization is led by our President Mrs. Margie Harper. As a member of the national NAMI organization we offer services that are focused on mental health issues that many families and individuals face across our nation. Services that are available to individuals, families, care-givers, as well as others. All of the programs and resources we provide are designed to inform, educate, train, support and improve the lives of members in our community who suffer from mental illness. We offer support groups, workshops, training seminars and several other important services. Instrumental to NAMI South Central Los Angeles is our Family to Family program, a free 12-week course for family caregivers of individuals with mental illnesses. Issues related to treatment, expanded knowledge about a particular illness and special skills needed to cope with life more effectively are explored there. To find out more follow links throughout our website and you will be guided to a wealth of resources and information that will help you.
